Jeannie started dancing in January of 2012 through COCC with Jerusha. Her
first exposure was a couple of years before at a showcase. She was in love!
She has taken class with several of our instructors, and loves all of them. She
looks forward to serving on the boss to promote bellydance in our community.
Librarian: Jan (Jahara) moved to Central Oregon from Southwest
Washington a year ago. She has studied belly dance for many years, most
recently with Rasha and Jerusha. Her taste in music is eclectic and her
fun-loving style mostly cabaret. She has a husband, three grown children,
two large dogs and three cats.
Webmaster: Dave (Dawood at'Tabaal) plays doumbek, riq, ney, djembe,
cajon, didgeridoo and Native American flute. He enjoys shooting photos and
video, and is a member of the band Imzadi. He likes to hike with his wife
Connie (a belly dancer), and lives out in the high boonies beyond Sunriver.
His day job is programming computers in C++.
Judi started ballet at a young age. After college she moved to the SF Bay Area
and discovered belly dancing. She studied with several different dance
teachers, and drumming with Mary Ellen Donald. She was in a troupe that
appeared at the SF belly dance convention, doing both sword and drum /
tambourine dances. Fast forward 40 years, she's pursuing things she loves to
do, like belly dance. Her current challenge is ATS. Through that she attended a
guild showcase, heard they needed help, and volunteered as treasurer.
